How can meditation coaching help you?

Meditation is a practice. How to feel calmer every day.
Meditation is a practice like brushing your teeth. As a matter of course, we brush our teeth to self care twice a day. From a child we have been trained to do this. We can also meditate to self care for ourselves too - with a practice, ideally twice a day, for a short period of time. As you progress in your meditative practice, you can extend this period of time to whatever length feels appropriate for you.

What’s your training and qualifications?
I have meditated myself for over 20 years, so have considerable personal experience. Working in the corporate sector, I have delivered training on site to many large organisations and I have been MCIPD qualified since 1996 and have a MA in Human Resources specialising in Training and Development. I have trained to teach this particular meditation practice at the Open Pathway Retreat and Training College in Yeovil, Somerset.

What are the benefits of meditation practice? Self care.
Studies suggest that meditators to have higher happiness than control groups.
Inital research suggests that meditation may slow the aging process.
Research has also discovered that meditation works by reducing activity in the sympathetic nervous system and increasing activity in the para sympathetic i.e. it produces a reduction in arousal and an increase in relaxation.
Findings suggest that meditation reduces the perception of pain. My personal experience has found that meditation reduces anxiety, reduces PTSD and pain symptoms, improves sleep.

What would I need to do?.
Will it take lots of my time?
Start with just 10 minutes twice a day. If you enjoy the practice and want stay in the peace longer then you can choose to do so.
Where are you based?
I am based in the New Forest and teach from my garden studio here in Bashley, Hampshire. I can also visit your organisation or workplace - and deliver training on site.
Is it safe?
The worst that can happen is you might feel so relaxed you fall asleep whilst meditating.
